Wine, wine, wine
...lazy summer afternoon spent in Idyllwild, top of a mountain, the 5000' elevation bearing down on me as I huff up small inclines toting a cooler of ice, grapes, carrots, chardonnay and merlot. Plastic cups we put together. A parachute above our heads that puffs up with the wind. Poetry on a stage, punctuated by jazz, and the tart wines coloring the air, coloring my bloodstream.
(I apologize for less posting than usual. It's not even like I'm on vacation; the food is indeed plentiful, but my writing time is not. Forgive me! Salud.)

That sounds wonderful! Did you have some of our wonderful California wine? :-)

Well, I have to admit, one wine was from Chile, the other from California. Both were perfect for that afternoon!
