too. hot.
These are the days when it's too much work to cook. The oven emitting heat sounds torturous. The smell and sound of firecrackers outside makes the cats perk their ears, and the heat inside the car is like fresh hell.
We're not barbecuing, and we're not cooking today. I drove to the big store with healthy foods, already prepared, and spent a whopping $35.00 on quinoa, bread, a jug of iced green and jasmine tea, and assorted cold foods. We ate in the dark with the fan blasting us and the ceiling fan awhir. The meal was my breakfast and lunch. Kung pao tofu, sesame snap peas and carrots, falafel, a triangle of pita bread, and spinach strawberry salad. All the containers display the fresh ingredients, so we're going to try our hand at these simple dishes, once we get around to cooking and chopping and marinating again.
